Geminid Meteor Shower to peak on December 13-14, 2020

The Geminid meteor shower is set to peak with up to 150 Meteors per hour on Sunday night Dec. 13th. and into Monday morning.

The meteors are derived from the “rock comet” 3200 Phaethon which orbits the Sun every 1.43 years but the Earth passes though it’s debris every year.

The photo below captured the Milky-Way with Jupiter and Saturn to the lower left and a meteor in the upper right. I anticipate to get some photos of the Geminid shower so stay tuned for updates!
